Reporting to the chief operating officer (COO), the Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resource (HR) operations, providing support in various HR functions, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role involves handling employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, benefits administration, and maintaining human resources records.
Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:

- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience by organizing orientation sessions and assisting new employees in understanding company policies and procedures.
Employee Relations:

- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
HR Policies and Compliance:

- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Stay updated with labor laws and regulations to ensure the organization’s compliance.
- Administer and update employee handbooks and other relevant HR documents.
Performance Management:

- Support performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Assist in implementing performance improvement plans and recognition programs to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
Training and Development:

- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and implement career development plans for employees.
Benefits Administration:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers, resolving issues related to benefits enrollment, claims, and inquiries.
HR Data Management:

- Maintain accurate and updated employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Generate HR reports and analyze data for HR metrics and trends.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
- Proven experience (5+ years) in an HR role with a solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
